Eden Arts
Promoting the arts in Mt Eden

Eden Arts

Eden Arts (Maungawhau Mt Eden Community Arts Trust) was founded in 1987 by a group of people committed to promoting the arts in Mt Eden.

We are a registered charitable trust administered by a Board with a working committee. We have initiated a large number of successful events and numerous people have benefited from the vision and energy of the volunteers who make up Eden Arts.

Eden Arts Projects

Eden Arts is committed to promoting an awareness of arts and artists in Mt Eden. Other projects include literary dinners, sculpture walks, tours of art galleries and other places of interest. The annual Eden Artspeak, Artists in Eden Day, Young Artists Awards and Pub Quiz with an Arts Twist are also popular events.

Another Eden Arts initiative was the installation of a sculpture in Essex Reserve in Mt Eden Village in 2010. For more information click here.

Eden Arts proudly launched a brand new initiative in 2011 - the inaugural Eden Arts Art Schools Award in July. The exhibition of student works was open in July/ August 2011 at Elam's George Fraser Gallery and projectspace B431. This year the awards are to be hosted by Unitec.
