SCULPTURE IN THE GARDENS

WALKING TOUR 

at the Auckland Botanic Gardens 

A Friends of Eden Arts Event

     SUNDAY 12 FEBRUARY  10.30am – 12.30pm

  Join us on a walking tour of the sculptures currently on show at the Auckland Botanic Gardens. Our guide is sculptor and exhibition curator Richard Mathieson. “Sculpture in the Gardens” is an outdoor exhibition of large scale works by 35 leading New Zealand artists in the setting of these spectacular South Pacific gardens, Hill Rd, Manurewa, just 20 minutes down the Southern motorway from Central Auckland.   

  The 2011-2012 exhibition includes work by Lucy Bucknall, Bronwynne Cornish, Bing Dawe, Christine Hellyar, Jamie Pickernell, Llew Summers, Jeff Thomson, Richard Wedekind and Jim Wheeler. There is also an indoor exhibition of smaller sculpture works. 

  Meet first at Café Miko in the Visitor Centre for a complimentary tea/ coffee. Further details will be sent on registration.
